Who This Project Benefits
This project is intended for the benefit of the women we feature and the larger community.
The women we have interviewed have been our greatest teachers and advocates. They have reported to us that our time together has helped them clarify and trust their voice, connect with their community, strengthen their businesses, and know their importance, role and belonging in the great web of life.
This series seeks to:
∙ Offer rest, rejuvenation, reflection and imagination into a more beautiful world.
∙ Witness and listen deeply. There is great value in seeing and being seen. In slowing down to listen, we are practicing good stewardship and ensuring our potential to connect and rise. By highlighting the diverse experience and perspective of the feminine, we can empower one another to feel seen, heard and valued. Through personal narratives and stories of resilience, viewers can gain a greater understanding of how others navigate adversity and find healing.
∙ Make visible the generative culture and economy of our time and community by highlighting stories of (purposeful work) hope and inspiration.
∙ Uplift and support the vital work and economy of women for financial well-being. We are building a new platform for generative/ life-affirming entrepreneurs and creatives to share and promote their healing gifts with their community and beyond. Additionally, we seek to partner with organizations to help women find alliances, financial support, mentorship and grants to promote and grow their vision and business, if desired.
∙ Bring presence and engagement to good conflict and discourse. We build community and foster connections between viewers by offering a safe space for discussion, representing a variety of voices and creating a sense of belonging and support around shared values and experiences.
∙ Restore a sense of belonging to ourselves, each other and the communities and lands we call home. Using personal story as an antidote to isolation, depression and the mental and emotional health crisis.
∙ Aid in teaching new skills and practices that benefit well-being and wholeness through exposure, experiential workshops and discussion.
∙ Include the voice and teachings of girls and young women and position them to share, lead and shape their futures while giving models of women devoted to improving life for all.
